Iván de la Peña López was born in Santander on the 6th of May in 1976. When he was young he travelled to Catalonia and he started his footballer life in the lower categories of FC Barcelona. With this team he began to play professional matches in first division in 1995. He has become in an idol for the people of Barça. He play in the middle of the ground. The people call him Lo Pelat because he always has his head shave. More later he had a lot of injuries and he must to left of Barça.

After than he stayed in Italy and French until 2002. There year RCD Espanyol de Barcelona wanted to do with him and he accepted. Now he stay in this last one team and he is teaching us his best condition, so he has can play with the Spanish nationality. In 2006 he has won the “Copa del Rei” with Espanyol.
